Abilene Chamber Business Resource Guide for COVID-19 Recovery
To further encourage the business community to practice safe social distancing guidelines and to reduce the impact of an outbreak during phase one of Governor Abbott’s plans to re-open, the Chamber is encouraging businesses to take the COVID-19 Compliant Business Partner Pledge.
“We’ve been overwhelmed by the number of businesses who’ve signed onto this local effort, spearheaded by your Chamber,” said Doug Peters, President & CEO of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce. “It’s free, it’s super simple, and it’s a pledge to do it right in order to make it work.”
The pledge includes 10 Principles for businesses that can help ensure the safety of their employees and customers. Once the pledge has been taken, businesses are encouraged to post the Compliant Business Partner logo online, on social media platforms, and to affix it to the door of your business.
“By showcasing that your business is taking proper precautions will hopefully help ease the concerns by apprehensive customers,” said Peters. “The pledge itself will guide you in your decisions and reassure to your employees and customers that you’ve done all you can do to minimize health risks among your workforce.”
