We’re 18 days into the new year and new decade and hopefully some of those goals you’ve set for yourself include ways to maximize your Chamber investment.

While we’re always working on behalf of our members, maximizing your Chamber membership is a two-way street. While there are certain intangible benefits you receive as being a part of our organization, the tangible benefits are the ones that you can take advantage of to get more bang for your buck no matter at what investment level you join our organization.

To help you maximize your investment, we’ve broken down a few ways to get the most out of your Chamber.

Attend Chamber events

We’re as tired of Zoom meetings as you are but staying connected with your customer base has never been as important as now. Join in on some of our smaller networking events (if you’re feeling healthy), join us from the comfort of your office via Zoom, or tune in to one of the many webinars we highlight for your business. This pandemic has given us all the unique opportunity to visit with and learn skills from people all over the world from the comfort of our office. View all Chamber events here.

Take advantage of your membership portal

With your Chamber membership comes the exclusive access to abilenechamber.com for you to post events, coupons, job postings and more. Use this access – its included with your membership investment! The Chamber fields dozens of phone calls, emails, social media messages and more with people looking for recommendations, jobs and deals. We can’t offer or share your awesome information if we don’t have it! Update your information here.

Submit your business news

This one goes hand-in-hand with the previous tip. When you have some newsworthy information to share with the business community, send it our way! We’re always looking for ways to brag on our members and the work you’re doing in our community. Submit your news here.

Sign up to be our business of the week

Marketing and visibility is just one way you can maximize your membership and get an immediate return on your investment. Thanks to our partners at Community Broadcast Partners, you can sign up for a week’s worth of radio advertising, a spotlight in our Monday Morning Memo, and a highlight on our social media pages. Our job is to help share the story of the Abilene business community. Sign up to participate today!

Serve on a committee

While some of our events may have been cancelled, there’s still plenty of opportunity to get involved at a deeper level with the Chamber. Whether it’s our Young Professional group, Military Affairs Committee, Redcoats, Cultural Affairs Council or more, signing up to serve on a committee is a great way to market your business and make further connections. Reach out for opportunities here.

Sign up for Keep It Local

We know that our small businesses continue to suffer because of COVID-19. Let us help drive business to you through our e-gift card program Keep It Local driven by First Financial Bank. It’s free to sign up and another easy way to help market your business. Details here.

Reach out

Is there an area of your business that you could really use some help with? Are you having trouble getting a new idea off the ground? Or, needing some assistance in the advocacy area? Whatever it may be, always be sure to reach out to us here at the Chamber. We may not have all the answers, but we can help point you to someone who can help.

If there are membership benefits that you have questions about or think that you might be under-utilizing, give us a call or send us a quick note. We want to make sure that you’re getting the most out of your investment. Utilizing your membership benefits makes your business, our organization and our community stronger.
