What makes your business stand out?
The Leaf is Abilene’s only Premium Cigar and Pipe Tobacco shop. We have an indoor lounge as well as a Private Member’s lounge. The Leaf has been a staple of downtown Abilene since 1998 and now at 1166 N 2nd street we employ a state of the art air filtration system and air purification units.
What do customers say about working with you?
Our customers are thoroughly impressed with our new facility. We’ve cultivated a relaxing environment to enjoy camaraderie with current friends and a place to make new ones. Our selection of premium cigars and pipe tobacco is one of the largest in the Big Country.

Being involved with the Chamber has greatly boosted our reputation as a member of the small business community. We’re so very proud to be a part of the Chamber! Additionally, whereas in the past we were navigating commerce alone, we now are a part of a group of like-minded entrepreneurs who are striving to make Abilene the best place to live and work. I love that we are all consistent in navigating through difficult times and we all share in each other’s successes.
What culture do you provide within your company?
We provide a culture of safety, fairness, and equality. Our employees and customers are free to their own beliefs and understandings and we provide a safe place where issues can be discussed over coffee and tobacco.
How do you give back to the community?
We participate in various charities and sponsor several events. We do this predominantly in two categories; We donate both financially and with gifts. Financially we donate to charities in Abilene such as Meals on Wheels, the Noah Project, The Children’s Circus, The Woman’s Center, The Renu Foundation, The Agape Manor Home, and American Veterans. We also donate items and gift packages for auction items to help organizations raise funds such as the Dyess Spouse’s Club, Dyess AFB, Toys for Tots, KTAB, and so on.
