A Harmonious Future

Laura Moore, The Grace Museum, 2021-2022 Chamber Chair

Do you remember just a few years ago when the Chamber shifted the format of its Annual Meeting?

Prior to Chairman Charlie Black’s (Wagstaff Law Firm) term in 2016, the format had been the same since 1908. A dinner, a speaker and one award recognition – the Outstanding Abilene Citizen of the Year.

It was a storied year with much to celebrate with a real feel of harmonious momentum collectively felt across our community. That momentum and harmony towards a better Abilene continues today.

Do you feel it?

The Chamber Board of Directors and I invite you to join us on Sept. 15 as we look forward to the future and celebrate 60 strong years of our public/private partnership.

This year, the Chamber’s Abilene Industrial Foundation (AIF) turns 60, and we’re celebrating in a big way.

We’re paying tribute to our past with Abilene’s very own historian, Jay Moore, officially launching AIF’s new five-year strategic plan, and of course my favorite part, paying tribute to you, our partners, who volunteer to ensure we’re continually developing and promoting the economy and quality of life.

This year’s event taskforce is hard at work ensuring this year’s décor, food, live auction is the best yet.

We ask you to consider the opportunities on the enclosed flyer and return with your desired level of support by Aug. 1 so we can recognize you in the invitation to our business community partners and banquet program.

Any questions? Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Chamber staff of professionals.

This will be an event that you won’t want to miss because it’s all about us moving forward, collectively, for a better Abilene.

Respectfully,

Laura
