I am very proud to announce that the Abilene Chamber of Commerce has been awarded by the US Chamber of Commerce the elite designation of a Five Star Chamber. The very best that a Chamber can attain!
What does this mean for you?
Our Chamber of Commerce has been named one of the top Chambers in the Country. Our Chamber is now in the top two percent of best performing Chambers nationwide.
To break that down a bit further, of the Chambers that attempt this stellar designation, currently, 201 chambers carry the distinction of accredited out of roughly 4.000 chambers of commerce in the United States. Only 141 of the 201 are categorized as an elite five-star Chamber.
“This achievement is on the shoulders of everyone that has been a part of the Chamber throughout its 115-year history,” said Doug Peters, President & CEO of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce. “Each of our professional staff members along with dedicated and talented volunteers from our planning committees to Redcoat Ambassadors, to arts initiatives, to visitor’s bureau, to military affairs, to agriculture advocates, to young professionals has helped contribute to ensuring our Chamber operates with excellence. This award would not be possible without each of them.”
