What a Proverb that title is, huh? Do you ever feel like the rules to the game change just when you’re starting to understand the playing field?

As a business owner or manager, you specialize in uncertainty.

And so that’s one special reason why your Chamber works hard to align resources for your business. Whether through our local partners or subject matter experts at the state, national, and international levels, we are constantly striving to provide you with the answers you need to make the decisions that impact on your bottom line.

For us, it’s about enabling a strong and vibrant economy. An economy that helps your business succeed.

And as we end the 2023 year and look forward to 2024, we want to help prepare your business for the uncertainty of the future. That’s why we’re pleased to announce the Chamber’s 2024 Economic Outlook presented by FirstBank & Trust will be held Thursday, Jan. 25 at the Abilene Christian University Hunter Welcome Center.

We don’t have a crystal ball to help predict the future. But we can arm you and your business with as much information as possible from featured economist, Dr. Ray Perryman. Sponsored by Big Country Title, Dr. Perryman will discuss key trends affecting the economy such as inflation, geopolitical tensions, and demographic changes. He will also describe his latest projections for the United State, Texas, and Abilene area.

In addition to Dr. Perryman, we’ll be joined by local experts in banking speaking to the regional interest insights and real estate trends.

You’ll want to be there. After all, we can’t do much to help if we’re unaware of the challenges ahead. Tables are available for $400 and seat eight; individual tickets can be purchased for $50 each. The deadline is Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, and you can register at the link here.

Finally, your Chamber is more committed than ever to keeping you in the know, and to standing tall for the interests of your business. Just like we have since 1908.

Onward!
