Local business and community leaders are invited to join Texas State Senator Charles Perry for an informational Town Hall Forum in Abilene on Tuesday, October 28, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at the Abilene Country Club (4039 S. Treadaway Blvd., 2nd Floor Ballroom). Admission is free and open to all interested attendees.

The event, hosted in partnership with HillCo Partners, the Texas Association of Business, the West Central Texas Council of Governments, the Texas Midwest Community Network, and the Abilene Regional Growth Alliance, offers an opportunity for the business community to stay informed and engaged on issues impacting the region’s economic future.

During the forum, Senator Perry will provide a recap of the recent legislative sessions, share updates on key policy areas such as water, education, healthcare, and rural development, and outline upcoming priorities for the state. A leading voice on water infrastructure and resource management, Perry authored and passed Senate Bill 7 / Senate Joint Resolution 7, legislation designed to ensure Texas can meet its long-term water needs through infrastructure investment and conservation initiatives.

As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Water, Agriculture, and Rural Affairs, and Vice Chair of the Committee on Health and Human Services, Senator Perry brings valuable insight into the issues that affect both urban and rural Texas economies. He also serves on the Finance, State Affairs, and Transportation Committees, providing a broad view of statewide challenges and opportunities.

“This forum gives our local employers and community members a chance to hear directly from one of the state’s key policy-makers and to share feedback on matters that impact our workforce, infrastructure, and regional growth,” said Doug Peters, President & CEO of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce. “It’s an opportunity for open dialogue and meaningful discussion about the challenges and opportunities shaping our region.”
