Do you remember being a kid with a big imagination?
Dreaming up inventions, sketching logos for a pretend business, or turning your bedroom into a boutique, salon, or restaurant?
Many of us had those creative sparks. We dreamed of building something of our own, but often, we didn’t have a place to bring those ideas to life.
At the Abilene Chamber, we believe that kind of creativity and drive should be celebrated, nurtured, and encouraged. That’s why we’re proud to host the Children’s Business Fair, presented by Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union, on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Mall of Abilene (Women’s Dillard’s Courtyard).
This event gives kids ages 6–14 the chance to step into the role of entrepreneur. They’ll create a product or service, build a brand, and open their business to real customers for the day. Participation is free, and the experience is priceless.
The fair is more than just a fun afternoon. It’s a hands-on learning experience. These young business owners gain valuable skills in leadership, communication, budgeting, and creative problem-solving while experiencing what it takes to run a business.
Most importantly, we encourage our community to come out and support these young entrepreneurs. Every purchase, conversation, and word of encouragement helps build confidence and shows these kids that their ideas matter.
We invite you to come shop, explore, and cheer on the next generation of business leaders. Together, let’s show them that in Abilene, there’s no age limit on big ideas and bold dreams.
Onward!
