There’s something special about seeing our community come together, and this Saturday, I hope you’ll join us for one of the most vibrant celebrations of the year.
The Abilene Chamber of Commerce Hispanic Business Council invites you to Business Mercado 2026: Fiesta en el Barrio – “Bringing Neighborhoods Together” on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Abilene Convention Center.
Business Mercado is about celebrating the businesses, families, culture and connections that make Abilene such a special place to call home. It’s also an opportunity to discover local businesses, make new connections and experience the rich Hispanic culture and heritage that are such an important part of our community.
And there will be plenty to experience! Throughout the day, you can enjoy live Mariachi, Ballet Folklórico, cumbia dance lessons, Lotería, giveaways, prizes and great food. Bring the kids along, too. Our Children’s Corner will feature face painting, hair tinsel and more family-friendly fun.
Best of all, admission is free and everyone is welcome.
Events like Business Mercado are a great reminder of what can happen when we bring our neighborhoods, businesses and people together. Whether you come to shop, connect, enjoy the entertainment or simply spend a Saturday with your family, we would love to see you there.
I also want to thank our major sponsors, IDM Construction, Optimum and Telemundo Abilene, for helping make this celebration possible.
Come for the culture, the food, the music and the fun, and experience Business Mercado with us. There truly is something for everyone, and we hope to see you this Saturday!
Onward!
